|
PRIVATE COMPANIES WORK ON THE CREATION OF A MODEL NATIONAL PARK IN COCHAMO. They want the area to become worldwide known for the climbing, the same way Pichilemu is known for surfing, Futaleufú for rafting and Torres del Paine for trekking. Two hours drive from Puerto Montt and for more hours by horse, Cochamó Valley is a touristic destination with 8000 hectares of alerces, granite walls up to 1.200 meters long, crystal clear rivers, waterfalls and great diversity of Valdivian-type temperate forest flora and fauna.
